How I think

AI doesn't belong to the technology department

The best opportunities show up where someone understands business and technology at the same time.

When artificial intelligence is managed as a systems project, it ends up solving systems problems. What comes out is correct but doesn't change much, because whoever understands the customer's pain wasn't in the room when it was decided what to build.

You don't fix this by having business hand over requirements. It gets fixed when someone can hold both conversations at once: understanding why a process exists and understanding what's technically possible today. That bridge isn't a coordination role — it's a capability.

Technology isn't separate from people or processes either. An automation nobody adopts isn't an automation: it's a cost.

This is an opinion formed on the job, not a verifiable fact. The cases behind it are in the case studies section.
